Some sources say Nathaniel's father is Halbert McClure, possibly Halbert Samuel McClure from Raphoe, Donegal, Ireland. Some claim his mother was Agness Gillespie while others say Agnes Steele.  But I have yet to find definitive proof.  There are so many McClures and so many Halberts it is very confusing.
